some more copies

It’s getting better and better. I copied a woolen pullover and made the new one out of fleece. Then I revised the long sleeve shirt I presented earlier, but still need to improve the arm holes. And I dared to sew clothing out of panne velvet. It was not as horrible as I expected – I guess mainly because I doubled the velvet with cotton.

 

ah, yeah. And I bought a new cam, but feel she is much smarter than I am. We need a little more practice…

Friends of mine are new parents and I did this cover for their son’s medical checkup book. The best tutorial is still this one.

heat up, little bat!

About two years ago I got a spelt pillow which is shaped like a gorilla with very long arms. It’s perfect to warm the back of the neck and heal light tensions. I asked the shop if they would allow me to copy it for friends but of course they did not  accept. So I had to do my own pattern and immediately thought of a bat. I searched the web for some pictures, then refined the shape and changed it a little more to get my own pattern. It’s made of fleece.

The first try has a little overweight. Overhead my original gorilla.

so this is the prototype of my warming bat but when showing it some sewing friends I realized that it fits me perfectly but is to small for other people. So I will change the pattern again and then will have a nice Christmas present.

adjusting winter

some posts ago I showed wooden rings I crocheted around and promised to explain what I want to do with it. Now it’s finished and it organizes my hats, gloves and scarfs.
