A friend asked me to do a little pouch to put money in for a wedding couple. I did not have any fabric concerning marriage so he chose a fabric which is a little transparent and I decided to add four hearts for the closing. Pulling the big hearts closes the pouch, pulling the small ones opens it. Took me a little more than an hour

so, I’m still alive, but got too much other stuff to do, besides I’m still struggling to copy a jacket. Meanwhile I did a little trip and crocheted some flowers. I gave all the last ones as presents and need some more…

first try, like it.

I copied another of my favourite shirts. I had to change the pattern a lot because the old one was pretty spoiled but in the end I made it. Next one will be a little longer since I don’t care to much for showing my belly to everyone

Nevermind the crinkles – it’s just hard to photograph yourself and stand straight…

I needed two things today: a feeling of success and a new purse for my ID and bank cards. Besides I still had leftovers which I wanted to change into something useful. With the help of some tutorials from the i-net I did this:

First I connected the remains of my kitchen curtain and cut it to the right size – at least to what I believed was the right size -

and then pressed it.

Then I took the remains of the cutting and sew them together for the outside. Then i sew both parts together, cut the edges, turned it over and closed it.

And then I realize that it was way to big – still I do mistakes in taking my measurements… But it wasn’t too bad since I decided to take it as an advantage because I now could fold the top edge and this way prevent my cards from slipping out of the purse.

but at least I finished the top – although I just realized that I forgot one corner and did a mistake in another. But that’s easy compared to the things I need to do next: Quilting will take a lot more time. But since I plan to hand sew it I will do it little by little in my rest periods.

And since I’m really nuts I did the embroidery in the middle a second time because the white background did not fit to the rest at all.

I’m a little afraid of it because it is so big and you need to sew pretty precise.  And I could have taken an easier way out but it seems to work. First squares,

then stripes.

And now I need to buy some more fabric for the edges because of an error in reasoning…

I would be lost without my plan.

My dishwasher died and left a big space under my sink. I can use it quite well but wanted to veil the mess consisting of washing and cleaning agent, dustpan, gloves and cloth and stuff like this.

Two years ago I learned juggling and still think it’s not only fun but also contemplative because of your focus on the balls. Because of the weather and some spare time I spent a day in bed and did new balls. The first is too small and has a strange peak because I didn’t add enough hooks to the second and third line. The second one is too big for my hands but perfectly shaped. But now I’m fed up with the hooks and will try the perfect ball later. The yellow ball is a bought one…

Very helpful was the advice to fill not only grains into the ball but to use some plastics to prevent the filling from coming out – additionally it was a lot easier to stuff the ball. If you crochet with different colours you don’t need to cut the threads. Just take them with you like here.

edit: well then, I tried a third time…

I got from my grandmother a colourful selection of old embroidery yarn. Until now I only did names but I look out for a bigger projekt.

Travelling by train and sitting in the sun listening to lots of music meant crocheting again. And since a got a wonderful collection of mercerized yarn from my grandmother I definitely had to deplete my own collection to create space in my drawers. I gave most of the flowers away but forgot to take pictures of them.  But since crocheting these flowers is so much fun I will spent some more time with them in the sun at the nightshift
